Calling all New Players


Brockham Green are always on the lookout for new players. We run two teams throughout the summer; a 1st XI and 2nd XI that play league cricket every Saturday in the Surrey Downs League and a midweek team that play friendly and cup 20/20 games most weeks after work. There is also the occasional Sunday game and it is hoped as player numbers increase this will become a more regular part of our calendar.  The 1st XI play in Division 1 of the Surrey Downs League and the 2nd XI play in Division 4.

Our 1st XI are currently experiencing the most successful period in the clubs history having won the 2007 and 2008 Surrey Downs League Championship. The first time this has been achieved since the league began back in 1977. 2009 sees us going for an unprecedented 3 league titles in a row and this without doubt presents our biggest challenge yet.

Our 2nd XI continues to strive for promotion from League 4 and hopefully with some new players, an injection of youth from our colts kwik cricket team and more consistent team availability; 2009 could be a most successful year.

In both teams you'll find a welcoming crowd, who play the game fairly, competitively and with a smile never far away. Indeed the Surrey Downs League is well known for encouraging teams to play the game competitively and with a respect for the opposition and for the spirit of cricket.

Of course you're more than welcome to just turn up at our winter net sessions which are held every Sunday from 1st March 1.15 - 3.15pm at the Friends Provident building just outside of Dorking.
