Brockham Green 2nd Xl v Albury on Sat 11 Aug 2012 at 13.30
Brockham Green Won by 8 wickets

Match report Seven Wins in a row now for the mighty 2's. Albury went into this game top of the table and being the only league side to beat the mighty horde this season. Albury won the toss and chose to bat on a rare sunny summer's day. After a steady start they started to lose wickets at regular intervals. Mike Silence yet again produced a devastating spell (6-36) and in conjunction with Andy Ellis and James Haddow managed to bowl Albury out for a meagre 85. Amazingly 9 of the dismissals were bowled and there were no dropped catches!

Brockham knocked off the runs losing only two wickets (Geoff and the debutant Ed) with Tim Kent (56 not out) and Angus Hodge (10 not out)seeing us home with an unbroken partnership of 50.

Other highlights of the game included a 13 ball over from one of the Albury bowlers (including a catch off a no ball), Pete Tipping's long awaited return to the fold, Ed Clement's debut and another great tea courtesy of Angus (his mum).

Beer (inc. Jugs from Mike and Tim), BBQ and Olympics viewing followed and a mighty celebration - We are top of the league!
